Yonder Collective Dinner – Encounter

29 May 2016

You might’ve noticed that my online life has been a little quiet lately – barely any blogging, not much happening on Instagram.. and that’s because amongst other things, I’ve been working with the lovely Yonder Collective designing some menus and things for their latest event.

In case you haven’t heard of Yonder Collective, they curate events to bring like-minded, creative people together in a beautiful setting, with a delicious meal. You can read a little about their past events here, including the this month’s – Encounter.

This Yonder dinner was all about encountering ordinary things in unexpected ways. So after a few days of thinking “I can’t do this” it came to me – 3D menus to reflect the shapes of the terrariums decorating the tables, of course. After a couple of weeks of tweaking designs, printing them up and adding some finishing touches, they were complete. And we were all so pleased with how they looked on the tables.

The event itself was one of the loveliest evenings I’ve had in a long time – so many interesting people to talk to, familiar faces to catch up with, amazing food & a drawing workshop. All the hard work paid off, and I was just sad that it was over so soon.

For all details of this month’s artisans, the location & for information on future events, please visit Yonder Collective.
