I thought I’d share with you my favourite corner of the garden right now and a simple little summer outfit with one of my favourite vintage skirts. These photos were actually taken a couple of weeks ago, probably on the last sunny day before yesterday, which was glorious, finally.
About a month ago I panic-bought some garden furniture from Asda. My birthday was looming and I wanted to have some nice, retro stuff in my scrappy little garden, to distract everyone from my dying plants.
Well, I ended up cancelling my birthday party, and these chairs didn’t arrive until about a week after everything else, but damn, they’re worth it, right?
The colour is great (have I told you about how much I love yellow yet?) and the shape is so pleasing to my eyes. I only got a pair, as we’ve got a lot of fold up chairs around, and I also bought a bench. I got an amazing, big, round table too, but I haven’t found the courage to put it together yet… more on that another day.
I found that nice garden furniture can be a little pricey, but if you shop around and look on voucher sites, you can get a pretty good deal!!
Finally, what I’m wearing.
Sometimes when it’s hot, you just want to wear simple cotton separates. Preferably with massive pockets. And if they’re from Paris then that’s just a crazy bonus. I love these soft colours together.
I got this skirt while second-hand clothes shopping around the vintage and charity shops of Paris, with my lovely friend Ella Masters. Hunting for vintage treasures is one of my favourite activities to do with friends.
