A visit to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, Devon, with Simply Health

20 May 2014

Tickets for Bicton Gardens provided by Simply Health in return for this blog post.

A few weeks ago, I took my lovely mum out for an early birthday treat, to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens in Devon.

I’m sure mum wouldn’t appreciate me telling you her age, so let’s just say she’s ever so slightly into the age bracket that Simply Health are trying to target with their new Healthy Ageing campaign. Apparently, people over 55 are slacking a little in the exercise department, but the nice thing is, exercise doesn’t actually have to mean slogging your guts at the gym.

Exercise can mean a nice day out, walking around looking at pretty flowers!

So that’s what we did, and apart from feeling good about being on our feet all day, we got to have a lovely catch up and spend some proper time together – which is something that we don’t get to do enough.
