Dark chocolate chunk banana bread recipe by The Mother Cooker

4 September 2018

This morning I woke up with the urge to bake. After a little chat with Gem from The Mother Cooker and a hunt for ripe bananas, I decided I should finally make her chocolate banana bread recipe that I’ve been lusting after for a very long time.

The banana bread recipe was super easy to follow, and I think it’ll become a regular in my household, as it is in hers. The smell of chocolate filled the house, and the taste was just as gorgeous. So moist, so naturally sweet (there are no refined sugars in this banana bread recipe) and beautifully rich.

It’s perfect, and it’s going to be pretty hard to not eat it all while watching Bake Off tonight.

Head over to The Mother Cooker for her dark chocolate chunk banana bread recipe.

The entire Mother Cooker website is packed with amazing advice from growing your own vegetables, to how to prepare and cook them in all sorts of ways. While we’re here, I want to recommend some other recipes of Gem’s which I’ve tried, tested and loved:

Butternut Squash and Chickpea Curry
Chickpea Curry with Spinach and Coconut
Caribbean Style Stew
Seeded Banana Muffins
