13 Christmas markets in Bristol (and 2 nearby) for the best Christmas shopping in 2025

2 October 2025

Christmas is coming, ready or not. I really love the run-up, and as soon as Halloween is over, I’m ready to go to as many Christmas markets as possible to get that festive mood going – the smell of mulled wine and mince pies (even though I don’t like them) wafting through a market really helps too.

To me, the best Christmas markets in Bristol are the makers markets, showcasing the city’s talented indies and artists – this place is crammed full of creatives, so it makes sense that Bristol Christmas markets are top tier.

They’re not all indie makers markets on this list (I thought I should include the mainstream ones to cater to everyone…) but most of these Christmas markets in Bristol have indies, artists and makers aplenty.

These Christmas markets are arranged by date, so that you can plan your festive gift shopping in 2025.

Haunts Curiosity Shoppe Fayre at the Mount Without Bristol

All Souls Fayre

Sat 1st November - Sun 2nd November

at Arnos Vale Cemetery

Ok, this one might not be a Christmas market, as it's over Halloween weekend and hosted by the spookiest shop around, The Haunts Curiosity Shoppe.

However, it'll definitely be a great place to start your Christmas shopping, especially if you or your loved ones lean towards the dark and gothic.

Bristol Pop-Up Shop in The Galleries

Bristol Pop-Up Shop

From November

at The Galleries Shopping Centre

And this one is not technically a market, but it is a marketplace with plenty of beautiful products made by loads of indie makers and artists, making it a perfect one-stop-shop for Christmas gifts.

Follow them on Instagram @bristol_popupshop for updates on opening times.

Bristol Christmas Market in Broadmead Shopping Quarter

Bristol Christmas Market

Fri 7th Nov - Wed 24th Dec

Broadmead

This is the huge sprawling market throughout the shopping quarter of Bristol, with chalets open everyday selling all sorts of Christmas gifts, food stalls, rides, and of course, the bar selling mulled wine and other festive drinks.

St Nick's Market Corn Street Bristol

St Nick's Christmas Market

Fri 14th Nov - Wed 24th Dec 2025

on Corn Street & Wine Street

Of course, there's always the indoor market at St Nicks, but this year there will be a daily outdoor Christmas market from Friday 14 November until Christmas Eve, with chalets and umbrella pitches on Corn Street and Wine Street.

riverside-garden-centre-winter-market

Riverside Garden Centre Winter Market

Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd November

at Riverside Garden Centre, Southville

Riverside Garden Centre is always a lovely place to hang out, but even more so when they hold their Winter Market, with twinkly lights and lovely creative things to buy for Christmas gifts.

Made in Bristol Christmas gift fair

Made in Bristol Gift Fair

Sat 22nd & 29th Nov, Sun 14th Dec

at Bristol Beacon

This is a real staple of the Bristol Christmas market scene, and a must-go-to. With various artists and makers over the different floors of the Bristol Beacon, there's a Christmas gift for everyone.

There'll be different traders at each date too, so I recommend going to each of them if you can!

Bath Christmas market

Bath Christmas Market

Thurs 27th November - Sun 14th December

Bath city centre

Here's the first one outside of Bristol, but it's super easy to get to Bath on the train from Bristol, and practically the entire city centre is turned into a Christmas market with unique gifts, and gourmet food and drink.

Mon Pote Maker's Market

Sun 23rd & 30th Nov & 7th & 14th Dec

at Mon Pote, Bedminster

Mon Pote has got to be the best homeware shop in Bristol, and this year they're running a Christmas market on their top floor - and I just knoooow this one is going to be so good.

There'll be ceramics, art, jewellery, accessories and more, plus on Sundays the Tobacco Factory Market is on just down the road, so it's a good time to pop to BS3 for some Christmas shopping.

St Anne's Winter Market

Saturday 29th November

at St Anne's House, Brislington

This looks like a lovely neighbourhood market run by Bricks Bristol, so is sure to attract some amazing creatives selling gorgeous things for Christmas gifts.

At the time of writing this, they're still looking for stall holders, and you can find more details for signing up as a seller here.

Shake Bristol

Sun 30th November

at Shredenhams, Broadmead

I'm super excited for this Christmas market, and I am so eager to see the line-up of traders - Shake Bristol always gets such a cool bunch of creatives together to sell their wares.

They've moved venues to hold even more good stuff this time around, and the market will now be held at Shredenhams (in the old Debenhams).

Windmill Hill Christmas Market

Windmill Hill Christmas Market

Saturday 6th, 13th, 20th December

at Windmill Hill City Farm

Windmill Hill Market is held every Saturday in South Bristol, and is well worth a visit, especially in the run-up to Christmas, as they'll have Christmas trees, mulled drinks and even a choir to get you in the festive spirit.

To keep up to date with traders and other exciting stuff, follow @windmill_hill_market on Instagram.

Estate of the Arts Christmas Fair

Sat 6th & Sun 7th December

at Estate of the Arts studios, Bedminster

This one comes highly recommended by my friend Leila, who knows everything about everything happening in Bristol - she said last year's was pretty special and so festive.

There will be makers, artists and designers selling their beautiful things in the yard, warehouse and studios - find more details in this Instagram post.

arnos-vale-christmas-market-2025

Arnos Vale Christmas Market

Sunday 7th December

at Arnos Vale Cemetery

Another market at the magical Arnos Vale Cemetery, and this one is more of your traditional Christmas market - and it's really good! It'll be a day of festive fun, gifts and community spirit, with local choirs and artists too.

Arnos Vale is lovely for a wintery walk if you fancy it, and there's a great café on site too.

Frome independent market

Frome Christmas Market

Sunday 7th December

Frome town centre

This is the second Christmas market outside of Bristol - the Frome Independent is a super popular market, running on the first Sunday of the month from March to December. The Christmas one in December is extra big and gets extra busy - so be prepared!

The market takes over Frome's high street to showcase the best independent craftspeople, designers, makers, food producers and vintage traders in the South West.

Lucky Dip Market

Sat 13th December

at Shredenhams, Broadmead

Another incredibly cool makers market, also held in the equally cool Shredenhams.

As I'm writing this, trader applications only closed a week ago... I've had a sneak peek at the line-up and it looks INCRED.

Lucky Dip is the sister market to Shake, but there will be different makers, artists and sellers at each, so it's totally worth going to both.

If I’ve missed off any amazing Christmas markets in Bristol that need to be on this list, pleeeeease let me know by sending me a DM on Instagram or dropping me an email to lyzi@lyziunwin.co.uk – I’d love for them all to be in one easy place for you guys to refer back to.

Happy Christmas shopping!
